P'Air earned his Novice Jumpers and Novice Standard title this weekend. He also earned his first Open Standard leg. Most proud of his second run in the afternoon wind. It didn't faze him.

Happy Hen Treats for our Papillons
A great treat for our Paps. They love it, and it is a good nutritional source, high in protein, and easy to carry along. One worm at the time will do the job.

Papillons & Raw Meaty Bones
Raw Meat + Bones diet- yes, but I do have a problem with one
of my dogs in my flock of Papillons.
I am sure this scenario will apply to many of you also.
It is a small, dainty girl: she eats well, but she will not
touch a bone, nor will she chew on the bone to just get the meat part. I let
her “starve” for 2 days, giving back just that same bone (either beef, or
chicken) , but she won, as I could not stand it any longer. She is a skinny
little girl after all.
But not eating bones, or chewing on recreational bones means
having to get regular tooth scales performed under anesthesia.
So, my goal is: disassemble the problem, and start with
small steps at the time.
·
First, I chop much of her food now, instead of
grind.
·
Next, the chopped pieces get bigger, and slowly
so big, that she does have to use her teeth to divide them up herself into
smaller pieces.
·
Following a drumettes bone (part of a chicken
wing) smashed with a tenderizer hammer, then cut into chunks.
So far she has managed to eat up my new menu for her; not
only did she eat the meat part from the bone, she consumed some of the bone
itself.
I am proud of the little girl.
Last will be the small drumette- and I am certain, it will
be accomplished….in time.

We are very pleased to post that Road's End Emigrante on his first dog show outing did very well. He was walked in the ring by Monica Palmero from Silvermorning's Papillons. At 4 months 2 weeks Emigrante was awarded Participation Ribbon, First in Breed and in close call he was awarded Group 1 against a very nice pekingese....I am very proud of his first effort and I thank the Malibu KC for having a 4 to 6 month Puppy event!
Emigrante lives in California.

P'Air had his novice AKC agility debut today. Thank you VHOC for a great trial. P'Air brought home three new toys and three blue ribbons. He was trying for a fourth blue ribbon but that tunnel called his name louder than I did.
Road's End P'Air lives in California. He is the son of our Madame Mimi, who is expecting a litter of puppies in about 2.5 weeks.
