- Ground beef
- Ground beef heart
- Greek yogurt
- Diatomaceous Earth (1/2 teaspoon for a 5 Lbs dog, for daily worm treatment)
- Egg
- Ground eggshells (calcium)
- Mix of alfalfa, spirulina, kelp (legume)
Of course, I prepare for a number of dogs. For each dog the prepared amount ends up like this:
The average 5 Lbs dog gets 2 Oz twice / day. I do the "golf ball" trick: bigger golf balls to performance dogs, and dogs which weigh more than 5 LBS. Smaller dogs - smaller golf balls.
and every once in a while I do the "rib test" on my dogs. If I can't feel their ribs, they are getting too much, if the ribs are very pronounced, and the dog is bony, I feed more of it, and possibly 2 times/ day.
Here the 5 PM meal for the day:
This is a chicken drumette (part of the chicken wing) and for my small dogs it is a perfect , sized, meal, where they get some bone to eat.
I feed these every other night or so.
For a recreational bone, my Paps love beef back ribs. The bone last several days for us, and keeps the Paps entertained, and satisfied. The reward is white teeth, and no need to schedule tooth scales, consequently no anesthesia.
Our puppies get at about 4.5 weeks their first slurry meal consisting ground meats, with organic goat milk, mixed with little egg yolk, and Greek yogurt.
